HealthDAT|San Diego was created by the San Diego State University Institute for Public Health (IPH) with developmental funds from the UCSD Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (NCATS UL1TR001442). We have also received support from UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, Specialized Cancer Center Support Grant (NIH/NCI P30CA023100) and the SDSU/UCSD CREATE Partnership (NCI U54CA285117 (SDSU), NCI U54CA285115 (UCSD)).
Our site was created with community and academic users in mind using a human-centered design approach. The site is free to use and features neighborhood-level data to identify assets and opportunities for improvement. Best practices to address health and social service challenges are indexed to facilitate public health practice and community-engaged research.
If you find HealthDAT useful or have ideas to improve the site, we'd love to hear from you! Reach us at HealthDAT@sdsu.edu
